Pros of the Gateway 3DS · Easy setup and use · Save files could be backed up · Plays identically to a retail game · Can play most games · Region Free · Can spoof firmware · Cartridge is made of high-quality plastic · Fantastic support · emuNAND Cons of the Gateway 3DS · No online gameplay · Unit is pricey at around $80 USD · Some games currently do not work Pros of 3DSlink · Cheaper than the Gateway 3DS · Easy to set up and use · Save files could be backed up · Plays identically to a retail game · Can play most games · Region Free · Can spoof firmware Cons of the 3DSlink · No online gameplay · Plastic is of poor quality, which may lead to future contact issues · Some games do not work yet · Firmware is a copy of the Gateway team's work So far, the only reason to consider the 3DSlink at this point would be for budget issues.
i would recommend r4i gold 3ds Deluxe instead, cheaper price with the same features. check the info here: http://www.dsflashcart.com/r4i-gold-3ds-deluxe-edition-play-3ds-games-on-3ds-xl-and-3ds-p-286.html
3dslink has the simiar function with gateway 3ds, but the price is cheaper than GW3DS, so i hav purchased one from http://www.modchipwarehouse.com/buy-3ds-link-play-backup-3ds-roms-on-3ds-and-3ds-xl-p-13.html , and tested ,it can support play some 3ds games perfectly.
