Does anyone else occasionally have a problem where you make an eboot of a psx game and it won't work and then cause the file to be corrupt or something? Because I have 2 psx games that work completely fine and I have had no problems, both were bin images that I made into an eboot. So I downloaded THPS 3 and it came with 4 files, a .cue, .sub, .ccd, and an image file. So I clicked on the image file in Popstation GUI and created my eboot like I did with my other two. After the eboot was made, I tried to run the game and there was an error code that came up. I decided I would try to make a new one and see if the same thing happened, so I deleted the eboot and key but i noticed that the file didn't remain deleted, it would be there but as 0 kb. I ran a chkdsk on the psp and it said there was a problem but it could not fix it. My only option was to format the memory stick. I was just curious if anyone knew what the problem was and how to avoid it. My theory is maybe it was because it has the 4 files instead of just being an bin image or iso.

A .cue file is a cue sheet that directs DAEMON tools or whatever program to the .bin file that is the image, so naturally, POPSTATION has no idea how to interpret these kinds of files. Rip THPS2 with Alcohol 120% into a standard ISO image, then convert it.

I don't have the game though, I downloaded it from the internet. Same with Metal Gear Solid and I have had the same problems with trying to get them to work. Every game I have actually ripped has worked but games that I have downloaded seem to not, except my final fantasy IX.

I have been reading this and looking up info on PSX conversions. My issue is that so far I have tried to get Tomb Raider to work and it just goes to a black screen(not working according to the compatibility list). I tried Danger Girl and black screen, I tried Shipwreckers and black screen. I have used a few different Popstation GUI's the most recent one I have used is endslab's Popstation v0.1. I haven't had any trouble getting other people's PSX conversions to play on my PSP though. I just must be messing up, but I am not sure how or why.

krbydrm check your PM's, and edit your post because illegally downloaded games cannot be discussed on A.D, sorry.

Make sure it is a .ISO image ripped from Alcohol 120% (the trial works fine), and then try converting it. It could be possible some parts were ripped from it during the process, so re-dump it and convert it.
