The day after Tommorow

    trying to rip this movie to hard drive, DVD SHRINK does its thing but with no picture, my question is will the movie actually go onto the hard drive ???????????????

    you mean the preview is off? no worries as long as the green bar indicates progress....

    No. the preview is on , it scans the disc but with no preview.
    other movies work ok.

    I've never encountered this. I guess you'll just need to try and see if it works. If not, use the latest DVD Decrypter first and then DVD Shrink.

    Went ahead with the burn, and nothing on the disc, nero tells me the disc is not empty.

    update, I have just tried the movie in my daughters pc and it does it no problem.

    Just try using the latest DVD Decrypter to rip to the hard drive. I would just rip it into an iso image file. Set the mode to ISO Read in Decrypter's Mode menu. After ripping you can open the ripped iso file in DVD Shrink by selecting "Open Disk Image..." under the File menu. Then proceed as usual.
