Maybe it's about time you read the rules then BIGGIE909. You know make your stay here more enjoyable.
@rtm27 Run FixVTS, and it does not help. When I run FixVTS 2nd time, movie shoes first part of movie after chapter 19. @binkie7 Sorry that I did not explain well. But I was playing the movie that I copied on HD. My problem is not the writing (burning) part, but the ripping. When I run FAV5 with movie only, I choose title 46 (Time 2:09:34), though many other titles with 2:02:49. And I can’t see the ending credits in the preview window, by sliding the tab to the very end. So it seems DVDFab fooled by the trick (Copy Protection). (FYI: Ending Credits seems between approx. 2:02:30 – 2:09:00) Thanks for the advice though. I’m trying to rip with another DVD-ROM drive.
@grampyga No worries you explained it well - just me and my skimming (or lack thereof) Missed the hd bit.
A "no go" here too. Using DVDFab 5.2.3, I disabled PathPlayer and used Movie Only. Can't quite grasp why some people have had success and other have not.
My only guess madpunter would be the drive (?). One of my drives, an ASUS, looked like it wasn't even going to recognize it then took what seemed like forever to analysis it. The other drives were fine. Might be the case.
Okay... My drive won't even read the disc? I am using Shrink and Anydvd, do I have to wait for the next updated of anydvd?
@Magic DVDRipper 5.4.0 Shrink and AnyDVD is a no go on this one unless you rip w/ AnyDVD 1st. Is the light in the drive still blinking - looking like it may still be analyzing it? Try rebooting and if you had one try using another drive. You might also want to give DVDFab HD Decrypter a shot. There's another program referenced in this thread that is said to work. Though if your drive still won't read the disc all this may be a moot point.
Hi, I am trying to figure out how to turn the pathplayer off on DVDFAB any help would be appreciated, Thanks!
I got The Express to work. Full back-up plays perfect. Used Anydvd v6.5.0.7, RipIt4Me v1.7.1.0, DvdShrink v3.2.0.15, and Dvd Decrypter v3.5.4.0 1. Turn Anydvd on, let it run in the background. 2. Insert the disc, let Anydvd scan it, click ok after the pop up. 3. Open and use 1-click mode, RipIt4Me version 1.7.1.0 4. Select continue anyway when you get the error message about your HD not being big enough, as long as you have at least 8GB avilable, you should be fine. 5. When RipIt4Me starts repairing, you should start getting alot of error messages which will all say the same thing. Just keep clicking ok or continue to all of the error messages until it is done. 6. When RipIt4Me is done, DvdShrink should open by itself and start analizing, if it doesn't then you should do it. 7. After it finishes analizing, The movie will be just a little big for a single layer disc, just un ckeck one of the audios and you should be fine. Although the movie will look a little different as to where it is. It looks like it is in the unreferenced material section, and not in the main movie section, but you should be fine if you are trying to back up the whole disc. 8. After you get the movie to the correct size just click back up and the rest is all up to you depending on which program you like to burn with but it shouldn't matter. I used Dvd Decrypter because it runs in conjunction with shrink. I have watched the whole movie, no skips, or freezes, plays perfect. Hope this helps. Happy burning.
Could not backup with my Samsung SATA in a Vista 64 box, however I was able to backup with a Pioneer PATA in an older XP machine. (Used DVD Fab 5.2.3 with PathPlayer disabled and Movie Only). Very strange, but you were correct, binkie, about the drive issue and also about it taking forever to do an analysis. TY.
DVDFab HD Decrypter 5.2.3.2 January 22, 2009 DVDFab 5.2.3.2 Updated! * New: Added support for a new copy protection as found on "The Express" (US). * New: Updated language files. * Fix: A crash problem when previewing DVD or converting DVD to Mobile in certain cases. * Fix: An error 400 when copying DVD in certain cases. * Fix: A freeze problem when copying DVD in certain cases. https://secure.avangate.com/affiliate.php?ACCOUNT=DVDFABSW&AFFILIATE=675&PATH=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dvdfab.com%2Ffree.htm http://www.dvdfab.com/download/DVDFab5232_avangate-675.exe
I tried, Desktop (Which I used to post my problem) with other drive: same problem on chapter 20 Laptop with DVDFab4 with PathPlayer enabled, movie only: It seems ripped successfully. Laptop with DVDFab5: It does not work at all. I could understand that one drive is more or less sensitive than the other. So One drive work fine with a particular DVD movie, when other drive does not work. But I did not realize that the combination of the drive and the software matters. I found DVDFab 5.2.3.2. I’m trying on the desktop. It ripped FULL without error. Though I have problem with DVD Shrink. (I can’t find the main movie.)
Last night I was able to record movie only, using DVD Fab with the directions previously posted here.
With DVDFab5 5.2.3.2, the movie was ripped without error showing with both my desktop and my laptop. And I did not find any problem to watch the copied movie on HD. However when I opened with DVD Shrink, I have only extra materials (deleted scene etc.) as “Main Movie”. The real main movie part is listed as “Unreferenced Material – VTS25”. If no one else has same problem, something must be wrong on my original DVD. (Though I do not have any problem to watch movie with regular DVD player…) I may give up for this one. Thanks to whom had given me a feedback.
Hi, after running dvdfab to the hard drive, try using fixvts or vob blanker prior to the use of dvd shrink. This should get the order of the movie correct. Jo
I found my problem. I needed to reenable Path Player. It was still disabled from when I copied movie only last night. Now it copied fine.
DVDFAB can be found www.dvdfab.com a new upgrade as of 1/22/09 will allow you to copy and burn The Express, any older version will not work, dvdfab is on it and still my favorite DVD burning program
