I finaly found it! The perfect program to rip audio files of any DVD. The name is "DVD Audio Ripper 1.0". It's fast, easy, fool-proof. Try it and enjoy!

Warning - it is badly named.
It rips the audio from any Video_TS layer of DVD-Video discs, it does not rip true DVD-Audio which is a totally different animal.

Why? The software wasn't named "DVD-Audio Ripper". Anyway it's an useful tool and I haven't heard about a program which can rip DVD-Audio.

It isn't badly named for someone such as yourself who has an understanding of the difference between the 2 formats, I agree.
However, you are in the minority. Most consumers would assume from it's title that it could rip DVDA - I have even seen posts on other forums complaining that it cannot!

Remember that not everyone is as well up as you seem to be, which is a shame.
Back to the point though - it is a very good app at what it does, no denying it. Well worth the small amount it costs.

If it is Audio you want to extract, with no video content, then this is definitely the one to use. It is superb. All I was pointing out is that it is poorly named is all.
I cannot fault it at what it does - it truly is a superb piece of software.

DVDDecrypter will do a very similar job too, plus it is freeware, plus you get the video too. This, in combination with DVD Shrink, is all you will ever need. DVD shrink will extract the whole lot - and then burn with DVDDecrypter, and if all you need is the audio then DVDDecrypter will do that, AC3, PCM or DTS.
