Check this out. My wife and I went to Big Lots (discount store) yesterday. While there I spotted some Sony DVD+R 1-8X 50 pk made in Japan disks for $7.99. They had the gray octagon spacer. I nearly crapped my pants. They only had 2 left so I snatched them up, checked out, and went outside and cried tears of joy. What a deal right? Just to made sure, I raced home a scanned these babies and guess what? Yup, Taiyo Yudens.

Checked my local Big Lots after seeing this, all they had were MIT 25 packs....plus crappy HP, JVC, etc blanks.....had never even see JVC blanks before...CMC Mag mfg'd I assume?

I just bought a pack of those MIJ Sony 8x +Rs from Wal-Mart for $24.

 

My local oddlots only has HP/RCA/JVC/and Memorex-which should code as Ritek-R03 which were 50 cents each with jewel case.

Those JVC were made in China! UGGH!

I bought all the sony +1x-8x yuden000-T02 in my town, LOL

Found some SONY 8X dvd+r's For $ 15.99 (MIJ Octagonal spacers ) Not as good of a bargain as yours of course But if I can get Sony /Taiyo Yudens for .32 cents I can live with it ! & like in your case blb061803 They had two 50ct. spindles ! of MIJ and I bought both! They had the 25 ct MIT sony's for 7.99 but I was'nt interested in those ! also Some Hp & Jvc Media but i'LL DANCE WITH THE ONE THAT BRUNG ME!!! I think the JVC's my biglots store has are made in Malaysia ? Great find ther blb061803 did you ask if they gad anymore in the back? LOL! thanks for the tip. Went to Big Lots and they had a few spindles of Sony/TY for 15.99. I didn't buy all of them at one shot, but I'll probably go back.

 

They have come down in price since the last time I wa there with Wifey. Still have plenty of them from the great BJ's raid on the FUJI MIJ Ty disks. ($9.99 with coupon- and $5.00 rebate)

For Whateveer its worth ! Found some Fuji 8x Mij 's @ a local Rite-Aid Drugstore ! while I was shopping in town with the Wife ! No spindles Just 5 & 10 packs of 8X DVD+R and bot on sale either ! Did'nt get them ! got the Sony/ Taiyo's at Biglot's later ! but thought you'd like to know about in case they ever have a sale or if you only need a few disc & that's all that open! Also saw some Fuji' Mij at Wherehouse Video/ Music store the other day They had mostly 25ct. Spindles! One Mij Marked down to $7.99 which I bought The other spindles all MIT ! they also had 5 packs of the MIJ Fuji's in DVD cases for like $10.00 I like Mij Fuji's but $2.00 each is a tad to rich for my blood ! Explain to wifely unit that you will need these eventually, you rarely find them on sale at such a low price, they really don't spoil and can keep for quite a while. And, you are so proud that she has shown you how to save lots at one of her favorite stores, and if you show her what to look for, she'll keep an eye open for you and you'll become your supplier of fine DVD media. Oh, it doesn't hurt to toss a few chick flicks her way from time to time.
B.J.'s Wholesale club is having a sale on FUJI 50 packs for $9.99 (With coupon) from April 29th to MAy 3rd, your local BJ's may have some MIJ's left, not sure what the current batch of MIT Fujis code out to.
