my friend asked me to archive a copy of a uk dvd, "the hogfather." It's region 2. Shrink goes through the motions and burns the disc successfully, but when I put it in the dvd player, I get an error "play function is unaccessible." I think it's a menu problem and not a region but I could be wrong. Regardless, anyone dealt with this title or something similar and know exactly what to do before I go fiddling with other programs or try to re-author it(which I don't know a lot about).
it could be one of two problems either its a region problem (which anydvd can fix to make the disc region free). or you have a media problem (make sure your using the good stuff Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim) burning between 4x and 8x speed max you can re-author in dvd shrink doing the movie only if you think its menu/extras problem, heres a guide http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/
Thanks for the suggestions. Wow..whoever was involved in putting that guide page together did a fantastic job. I have seen the link floating around in different posts, but hadn't checked it out yet. I think I'll print them all out and put in a notebook.
