i recently got a nikon D70s and niether of those cameras can come anywhere close to the D70s, but if money was no issue, i would get a nikon D2h (around $5000 w/acessories)
I am glad you like the Samsung pro815 but it isnt the best and I will tell you why... 1) slow focusing 2) Focusing hunts and often fails especially in low light 3) Unreliable WB in in artificial lght 4) Raw conerter is crap (supplied) 5) Over-processed jpeg images 6) Very high noise levels except ISO 50 7) only goes to ISO 400
the D100 was introduced in july of 2002 and th eD70S was introduced im may 2005, so your D100 is not newer and does not have more features, if you read some reviews, you would know that the D70S is highly upgraded from the D100. it has a faster shutter, wireless remote, pictbridge compatable, has a better lcd display, I-TTL flash, more image capacity on continuous shooting, higher shutter speeds, faster flash sync, and more auto shooting modes. i spent 6 months of researching DSLR's and the D70s is hands down the best DSLR under $1500 and far better than all other DSLRs in the $1500-$2500 price range (except for the new Nikon D200 which is almost identical to the D70S). here are some reviews for you. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond70/page20.asp http://www.bythom.com/D70REVIEW.HTM
