Now that the mac pro has an intel xeon processor, theoreticly would it be possible to build a computer with the intel xeon processor, the correct graphics card and the right mother board, etc and create an os x compatable machine that will run just like a mac pro but with out the added cost? (Im not really intrested in building one I was just thinking about it and thought maybe someone could clear this up for me :)

ok you could build a pc and use the hacked version of osx called osx86 only problem is the computer wouldn't recognize your sound card or grphics card because mac graphics cards have mac firmware installed on them and yes the hackers that are working on the next installment of os x86 will be devloping some drivers they most likely wont be out for a year or so

Ok. Thats cool. I think that eventually though apple is going to have to let manufacturers build their products with apple firmware, because once you can build an os x box for like $500-600 then apple will really see sucess as a software company, not a hardware company. (and I'm not saying that apple's hardware sucks, because it doesn't, its the best looking hardware out there nice and sleek and shiny)
