I'm backing up a movie and the backup is very low in quality, with a heavy lag ang very pixily. This is the first time I have ever had this problem. Also, the backup disc was about 75% burned, by the looks of the back...any help is graetly appreciated...thanks in advance...
Sorry, but I used clone, with any dvd running in the background. I tried shrink instead of clone, and it worked just fine...thanks
bob_c_o, Welcome to the forum. As you found out the transcoder in Shrink is better than CloneDVD. CloneDVD is probably good for 10% reduction but anymore than that then you will probably get what you got. You might want to use Shrink at that point
I am having the same problem. I at first thought it was where the original disk actually says it is a dual layer DVD. First I had seen like that around the center hub. Then I thought it might be my drive. Nope changed drives. So I am glad to hear there is a way around.
rannh651, You can rip the movie to the HD using AnyDVD's ripper or you can use DVDFAB Decrypter HD and rip the DVD to the HD. Then you can use Shrink, Nero or whatever software burning package you own. You need to use good quality blank media(Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden) and your burner needs to be up to date w/ it's firmware.
I had the same problem with clone dvd, trying to copy the messengers, was poor quality picture, out of focus etc, using a Taiyo Yuden disk, never had a bad disk before so I tried using dvd shrink with anydvd and the copy came out perfect, clone just wasnt up to handling the job like the old and free stand by dvd shrink.
yea clone dvd really dropped the ball on this 1 my copy came out so grainy & pixelated even after i ripped to the hard drive so i will use dvd shrink..slysoft really needs to fix this problem pronto!!
