oops sorry my fault, man was i desperate for GOW, well not anymore it seems my good ol' country was nice enough to distribute dvd 5 version of it around here, no more sleepless nights.hehehe

 

Sorry to bring up such an old thread, but I just got God of War, and Its on my computer and such, i was looking to go to backuptools.co.uk but the link just takes me to a blank page with some google text ads on the top, does anyone know if the site is dead or what?

Well, so far, Im not sure what to do on apache 2. I tried extracting, there was something on the toolbar which said extract layer 1, I chose that and it gave me an iso, now I don't know how to get the other layer extracted, or if I even did the first one right. Can anyone clarify on this?

 

Hmm, why someone who succeded in doing a 100% working copy doesnt put it outhere so evbody can use it?

Hey mikernite, your method worked!
I couldn't find Sonix God of War Tool, so I used Gnie ExPERT.exe to shrink the files down to proper size and then used Nero to burn the iso.

For Mikernite and AWCK:

I too used the GNIE Expert tool to rebuild GoW, and yes, it does work. For a while... After nearly 4 hours of play, I finally got to the point at which I needed to cross Pandora's Bridge, which is also when DL1 stops and DL2 starts, and the game FROZE as I've been told it might.

I've read some DVD9 games WILL play all the way thru using Expert, and some won't. GoW is one that won't.

I'm now scouring the net for the latest version (?) of the Sonix GoW tutorial to rebuild GoW such that it passes this FREEZE.

Thought I'd share.

Well, there is a sticky with a link to the SONIX tool. I got apache, but I don't know what to do next being this my first rebuild. Although once I rebuild it I'll make sure to share it for the good of humanity. Can anyone pm me to help me out with this problemo?

ok this is starange but when i look at my files when i opent he iso with apache theres only 15 not 16 files ??? did i do somethin wrong??
