Just for you zippyd Also, here we also have hydro races every year. Almost every year the Miss Bud(wieser) w/ driver Dave Villwok wins. http://www.missbudweiser.com/ Set the world speed record: http://www.kndu.com/article.src?ID=26067&V=&Type=News&0406a5618d
So are you an actual fan flip? I go to our event every year and am planning to catch some of the others this coming year. My step-dad is in the vintage program. He just picked up a new project last year. Here's a story about his restoration of the last boat he had..... http://www.vintagehydroplanes.com/n73closeshave.html Here's my hometown boat... But my favorite would have to be these guys....
I don't follow the whole season, but try to find time when they come to Seattle for Seafair. I thought the Oh Boy Oberto boat was also from Seattle.
The oberto company is out of seattle if I remember correctly. They've had their hands in boat racing for many many years. Budweiser won't be winning anymore in the unlimiteds. This season was the last one for that team. There are a few reasons involved I would speculate. Merry X-mas!
for any Hydro fans thought I'd share some info.... http://www.madisonthemovie.com/ The movie Madison is finally going to make it to theatres Apr 22nd. After numerous setbacks, it's finally here coming out.
It's a limited release(around 500 theatres) so I'm guessing that the cities that host the racing events will be targeted most.
