The official pro ps3 thread.(no arguing please)

I'm telling you i think ps3 is gonna take up more of my time than anyother console i've had

Here is my take...

1) Really do not care if you do not like the price.
If you do not like it, do not buy it, wait for the price to drop, buy it used, break and enter, whatever....
Nobody cares.

2) Hypocrites suck.
Most of those whining about the Ps3, trolling and being negative, trying to tear down everything will still be looking for one on opening day.
Grow a set.

3) If you are going to do nothing but be negative, go away.
Self explanitory.
What kind of pathetic self existance does someone have to have to waste time trolling a message board about something they do not care about?
Go get some sun, play a game, pretend to have a social life, get laid...get a life.


Now about the PS3:

We know how much it is, and it will not change no matter how much you whine.
You will not be the magic number, there will not be a balloon drop with Sony coming out and saying "Oh well we were set before but your post made us change our minds, here we will lower the price".
Not happening, get over it.

The games you have seen so far, are not complete.
The closest at E3 was I believe 50% it was said.

Nobody cares if you think you do not need a blu ray drive

The PS3 is as is, and even more upgrades will be available.

The GPU is ....
It is damned good.
It is based off of the Nvidia 7900 GTX hardware with some tweaks and optimizations.
It is more powerful than the one in that other system, it is not as easy to program for but devs will pick up the nuances in time.
Pipe numbers mean nothing. For some generations now the NVidia cards have had less physical pipelines than the ATI cards, and they have lead the race anyway.

The CPU is ...
New and unproven.
Do not mistake that for weak
It has never been unleashed before so most anylists are going on what they see on paper whether they are for it or against it.
But there is enough potential there for quite a few ivy league IT geeks to be getting a huge rise in their software if you know what I mean, so there is enough potential there to be excited about.

The controller....
Doesnt vibrate.
So what, go raid your mom's second drawer on the left if you want something that vibrates.
The gyro is innovative, and as we have seen was patented long before the Wii.
It could very well turn out to be a gimmick, but there could also be some very good creative uses for it.
(one that I keep thinking about is using it to lean left and right in an FPS, or even to duck and move)
This is not up to Sony, it is up to game designers.
UBI now has my hopes up a bit.

AND YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING YET.
Wait until TGS, there are a few tricks up some sleeves for launch day and soon after.

like gthd was working at about 40% and it was looking as good as pgr3 and ALOT better than fullauto. mgs4 will be the greatest game ever made i would love to see it online. and UT will be INCREDIBLE online. who needs gow and prey when u got resistance and ut07?

i prefer the ps3's aimed genre more than the 360's. i agree with up there.

 

these are still assumptions, nobody knows this yet, so try and write with a certain degree of moderation on how much praise you give the ps3 games, especialy when the games have not even been released, and those two of the xbox 360 games whcih you are comparing them too like gow and prey.

Anyone here planing on getting an Xtrabucks 3shitty? heh. it doesnt seem the way to go right now. im thinking wii or ps3 depending on your syle of gaming and care for the higher features of the ps3. im still not seeing anything clearly remarkable from the 360. MS made trerrible decisions relating to the console, like early release, lack of hd-dvd, and lack of testing. Lacking nothing notably next gen or a good step forward.

anubis plz for the love of god try and explain to me why xbox 360 got so many awards at e3, why did so many people say ps3 sucked and dissapointed them, why did so many people say that nothing looked better in graphics then mass effetc, bioshock and gears of war apart from a pc game (crysis) so i am not saying that xbox 360 is better than ps3, but untill you have not given xbox 360 a proper chance you can not call it not next gen and you can not say stupid things like all ps3 games will pawn xbox 360 games, which is what you re basically saying.
now do not change subject on this actually anser me why the people at e3 liked the games of xbox 360 so much more.
