The official SadSac bashing thread

I've opened up this thread for those who I may have pissed off at one time or another. I started a thread that many people didn't like and have been accused of being snide and condescending in previous posts.

If I've pissed you off, you're invited to join in and bash the hell out of me.

I wanted to be the first to bash ya, but I can't think of anything right now. :-( So I just replied so I can can get updates to the bashing.. LOL

If I started a thread like this I would be in trouble.

Well......a lot has been posted since I've been gone today.....at least in the other thread of interest. That one was closed by flip and re-opened by nephilim.

I kind of expected to get ripped up on this one by the end of the day.

Oh well.....guess they bashed me to death over there. I've been bitch slapped, called out, questioned on my intelligence quotient, accused of having multiple personalities, threatened to be banned, and threatened with computer intrusion on that thread.

And I no longer get to speak my peace or defend myself since I've been put on the watch list. So I'll just sit back like I'd planned and allow you guys to beat me down until you feel better.

I will say a few things in my defense:

I DO NOT HAVE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS HERE. IF THERE WAS A MADGEEK OR ANYONE ELSE POSTING THOSE MESSAGES, IT WASN'T ME!!! SO YOU [bold]CANNOT[/bold] HOLD THAT AGAINST ME!!

I honestly can't believe that some of you posting on the other thread took that stuff so personally. Suddenly, I've become public enemy number one on ScubaBud's list. I can see it in a way, but lighten up! Now I've been deemed a troll who's constantly causing a stir on this website. Well, Bud.....if you do a search for my nick using the forum search function, you'll plainly see that I have added quite a bit of good to this forum!

And as for the college, work, and responsibilities comment......This isn't meant as a personal attack on you and it isn't meant to sound snide or sarcastic, but your assumptions are way off base. I'll leave it at that.

My apologies don't get any better than that!

 

And if you'd like, I can point out some threads where others on here have been much more snide and rude than I ever was.

I can also point out many threads where I've been extremely helpful to others. I can even point out one that has completely shed a new light on backing up without compression!

So I'll end with saying that I'm not the troll you're making me out to be!

Sadsac, I think you will find that once a problem or topic has run its course on here it is usually over and done with and we try to forget it. Your apologies will be noted by most members and in most cases that should be enough. We all make mistakes and we all have bad days when everything someone says gets to you. I don't think you will see a bunch of bashing on here. The only other suggestion I have is watch out for that mad sheep.
