    cktrenkle ,
    Welcome to the forum. What program did you use to rip the movie to HD. Suggest you try DVDDecrypter and rip the whole disk to HD and then use Shrink to compress. If you used DVDDecrypter did you get any read errors. You can also Use AnyDVD in conjunction w/ Shrink also if you like

    cktrenkle,

    That has to be ripped with the latest version of DVDD(free)
    then shrink to compress and DVDD to burn.
    Or,use shrink with anydvd running in the background(Anydvd has a free trial period,then you pay,but it works on the new Sony movies,SO FAR)

I swear when it comes to computers there cannot be anybody dumber then I am. I have ghosted and reghosted before but lose so much information, I hate it. LOL Thanks Again!!

    Holy, I am sorry about the multiple posting, I thought my computer jammed up and looks like my clicking finger went nuts. Sorry about that.

    @cktrenckle

    What kind of error are you getting from Decrypter? Sounds like it could be a bad disk, you could try cleaning it, or getting another original. This movie does not have any special protection that I know of and Decrypter should get right through it fine.

    cktrenkle,
    If you have AnyDVD on when you use DVDDecrypter there could be a conflict as reported on the DVDDecrypter forum before it's demise. Cut off AnyDVD and try it w/ DVDDecrypter. While you are at it arniebear and myself asked for the error code you get in DVDDecrypter. Please post the error you got
    Before you ghost the HD try using a free registry cleaner and clean up any conflicts in the registry. You can google for Free Registry cleaners
    Still think you might have a Bad Press but we will not know until you give use the error code

    Since it gets to 84% I suspect the disc is bad also. Encryption problems usually show up in the first part of the decrypting. I did Pacifier with good old Clonedvd 2 and Anydvd without a bump of any kind.

    Thanks one and all for all the advice. Have not given up but still having problems. Even turned the movie back in and got another one. When it gets to 84% get a window up stating the program must shut down at this time. Cannot get around it. Shuts me off the program and back to nothing, once again. Could be, that I am the problem. LOL Thanks Again!!

    Here are a few things to try. Run a virus scan, adware scan and spyware scan. Run a REG cleaner if you have one. Then defrag your HD if you haven't done so lately. This will clear up any possible outside trouble that may be causing a problem.

    @bird7, The forum has been having a few problems lately. It sometimes will multipost an answer like above. Don't just jump someone for minor problems like that. If you think there is a posting problem use the [bold]Report an offensive post[/bold] feature. We try to let the mods handle things like that.
