the receiver was not detected(eurovox ex1000sl)

    when i try to flash my eurovox ex1000sl for the first time with a usb lead all i get is the receiver was not detected i cant belive im having so much trouble i thought it was going to be easy lol

    firstly are you using a laptop with vista
    because this seems to cause problems
    ideally you better using a computer with xp
    and also use a proper nul modem cable like i did myself and had no
    problem should be easy and is

    well i have now found out that the software is already on but i didn't think it was because it would not find any channels but i think Ive found out why i hope i think he gave me a crap splitter so i was getting no signal we will see?

    First of all, check whether you do have FIRMWARE installed, Menu and across and choose System Information, post what it say's, secondly you should not be scanning with the splitter inplace, you should carry out this procedure from a direct cable feed. (i.e. No Splitter/s) - for the best information and guidance go to the link below this post titled Eurovox, an excellent guide is in place with the required FIRMWARE link courtesy of HiTeck.
