Earlier today had a problem with "The River King".. I was running AnyDVD 5.8.3.1 in the background. Used DVDShrink to open it. Both AnyDVD and Shrink locked up (program not responding error). First time I've seen this. Shrink had brought up a error message later saying "Dirty disc.. etc." I later found that AnyDVD was causing this issue. Seemed that AnyDVD did not like this disc and my system was unresponsive. So I had to terminate AnyDVD for the disc to be playable. After closing AnyDVD and used just plain old shrink, everything worked great.
i recently had a problem after updating my anydvd. after the update EVERY movie would cause errors with shrink. i unistalled anydvd then reinstalled now all is working good. give it a try it might work for you.
