Sooo back to pg.1. of this forum; dammuu was also right in doing his method right from the beginning just by using clone DVD and Any DVD and taking out those titles, because it is working for me at this moment right now

I don't know how to use Vobblanker. Also, how do you get fixvts to do its thing? I turn on ripit4me and fixvts, try to do movie only, set the paths, ripit4me parses the dvd files and automatically creates a psl file and opens DVDDecrypter and decrypter stops on one of the 8th vts files, I don't remember which one right now, but any way it freezes up and I have to abort.

 

That would be the VTS_08_1.VOB file which is the main movie.

 

To make a perfect copy of your original saw 3 movie, use the following: RipIt4Me 1.6.4, Dvd Decrypter 3.5.4, FixVTS 1.6.0.3, Dvd Shrink 3.2, and Nero. Make sure everything is installed before running RipIt4Me. You will get an error message in Dvd Decrypter, but just ignore that and continue. FixVts will take care of it. Hope this helps! For those of you that don't know, the author of Dvd Decrypter will not be updating the program due to legal matters. Might as well turn off the update feature, because it won't work.

 

AnyDVD and clone dvd from the same sight worked verrrrry well.

 

I used ripit4me then it automatically loaded on too dvd decrytpter and then used dvd shrink worked perfect

 

Although DvdDecrypter is coming to an end, there's a new program called Image Burn that claims to pick up where DvdDecrypter has left off! Looks a lot like Decrypter, but don't know much about it. Has anyone tried this yet?

 

Hi, after reading alot about saw III, it seems as if everyone has a different problem. Some methods of copying saw3 work for some and not for others, and vice versa. Maybe the saw 3 dvds have different types of protection on random DVD's just a thought. I use decrypter and vobblanker and shrink and have never had a problem until saw3.
Ri4M absolutely would not work for me something about could not patch to decrypter, and I know the path was correct. so I used nero7 recode with anydvd running in background, and nothing was simpler. Can't believe how stressed I was for the first hour!!

@those of you who can't get my posted methodology to work, here's a couple thoughts..........

make sure you are using old dvd decrypter (3.5.4) and not dvd fab decrypter.

make sure you are checking movie only w/o menus and other baggage.

if you do this and have latest update of fixvts (1603) you WILL get a working backup @98% w/ac3-6 sound. Fail Safe.

Starts w/ Lionsgate gears, then keyhole, then yada yada yada then movie!!!

hello all i'm very new on here so any help would be nice . I ve tried twice to burn crank with crank and decrypter and anydvd but i get the same results it show two guys talking about the title and it just loops from there what can i do or try again i'm new this is strange cause i've talked to some people in person and they tell me they had no problems i'm not sure why saw 3 made the decrypter close all on its own well thanks in advance Burn one for me ....

 

I got crank with dvdfab decrypter, vobblanker, and dvd shrink.

I tried in vain to backup Saw III with AnyDVD & CloneDVD,got three coasters. So i tried RipIt4Me, with DVD Shrink & DVD Decrypter. Worked like a charm and it took less than two hours to complete. Thank you Pacman 777

 

Ripit4me also works with NeroRecode(Full movie) after decrypter's rip and FixVTS does it's thing.

 

Only can copy the movie no the extras. Apparently all the securities are there. No mater if remove the ones with the errors.

 

I'm back!! Not since 2003 did I ever see the need to give any further advice or tech help seeing that everyone had things well in hand. What shocks me, is that you got individuals like Pacman giving you expert advice and yet some still cling on to trying to use the same old method.

1) Listen to PACMAN!! Please, if you don't know where to go to get the freeware? then ask and it will be told to you again for about the 12th time.
2) Older version of Dvd shrink Beta 3.5 with info edit will work outstandingly well but for those who are advance with it, should just leave it alone. Programs like Ripit4me freeware are excellent in conjunction with DVD Decryptor and DVDshrink. Changing the cmd prompt to use Imageburner and 1Click DVDcopy5. Why?! better video compression agent and player compatibility quality.
3) You will find other compression software that works better but is more ideal on the Linux Platform. Gear! is excellent.

4) In about 2 weeks, if that , i really give AnyDVD about 3-4 days, they will release their newest upgrade that will not doubt already have a navigation restructuring tool like FixVTS built in and then you can use whatever Compression Agent to build the VOB Structure. For now, go with what works and remove your headaches. Used Ripit4me with the other component freeware and it worked awesome everytime.

i got the newest update for RI4M, buttt it does burn everything except VTS 099 for some reason, that was the first time anyway, second time through it didn't msg me about any errors but everytime it tries to load it up in DVD Shrink afterward, it gives me an error message that either files are incomplete or that the structure is incorrect. what am i doing wrong?

(i even took saw 3 out and tried burning the Guardian, and that worked, so but as i can see quiute a few people were having trouble)


--i just tried it again after i updated fixvts and all, and i still get this error from DVD shrink:

Invalid Data in file "C:\Saw_3_unrated\VTS_99_0.VOB"

 

new here just burned saw 3 with dvd decrypter and fix vts w/dvdshrink. and burned with clonedvd2.....
