I watch HD movies on my pc , I switch the image display to 1280 x 720 for this [ make the movie pic much more clear ] . For some reason when I do this I lose about a inch of each side of the screen . Is there anyway I can fix this ?

    I have a ' SiS 650 ' video card

My main driver is ' SiSGRV.dll
    Version 6.14.0010.2160

Do you have a widscreen monitor? Can your moitor support 720p? If so try adjusting the picture stretching moving via the moitors control, or most newer moitors have a autoadjust button try pressing that.

If you have a fulscreem monitor this image might help you understand why you lose about an inch of the side of the screen

essentially, your monitor is not wide enough,,, not enough pixels, so the pic is off screen. if you stretch, or rather compress it horizontally to make it fit, it will look horribel. watch it with the top and bottom bars or get a widescreen monitor. any HD tv will do as well, i think, cuz HD is 16:9 native, and thus all HD TVs are that aspect ratio
