ive got 3.40 OE-A and usually when i download iso/csos and put them in the iso folder they play fine. but i downloaded the simpsons game and i do everything as i usually do but when i select the game i get the white psp screen as usual but then the loading and checking memory stick screen flashes for 1 second and then the screen just stays black and the game doesnt work.

someone started to tel me about going into the recovery menu and changing to NP9660 but i have no idea what that is and how to do it?

how do i get the game to play???

    thx

Turn off your PSP and turn it on again, but press and hold R.
In the recovery menu go to Advanced and then UMD Mode. Press X until it says Sony NP9660 -NO UMD-

Have you tried it by using a UMD in the drive yet?

I also had the same problem, the game would`nt start with 3.40 oe, but I upgraded to 3.52 M33, and changed to the same as accat131 in the recovery menu, and it work`s perfect:D

Use PSP Upgrader/Downgrader, by Bob Joe for upgrading, very easy;)

    Hello to all!
I have tried to do everything written in this post to get the simpsons working on my PSP Lite, FW 3.71 M33-3 but nothing has worked up to now.
I have changed UMD ISO mode to Sony NP9660, CPU speed to 300...

I'm really wondering why the game still isn't working.
The game itself is a .cso file, if it matters.
I have no original UMDs so I cannot try with an UMD inserted....

    Thanks a lot,
    Tolly

EEE31...I have 3.71m33-4 and the Simpsons Game in CSO format. The game starts ok, but when I get to "Load/Create Profile" screen and I select either, my PSP crashes. Were you able to get pass this? If so, how?

    Thanks!

I have had no problems playing the game at all. Perhaps your version of the game is bad. I would re-acquire a different copy of the game and try again. My fine is a 676MB CSO file.
