just a couple of days ago i got the sims 2 installed on my computer. i got the game from my brothers friend and it was not an original copy. the game works perfectly fine but the only problem is that he installed it with the The Sims 2 V1.0 No Censorship Patch. i didnt relise this till i started playing the game. i was wondering if there was a way to remove this patch and if there is how? please help me!!!!
I think your brothers friend did that on purpose. Being that it is a patch you can probably disable the patch if you can find it. Should be in the install folder for Sims2 Not totally sure that'll work, only disable if you know it's the patch, maybe do a online search for the name of the patch.
the name of the patch is 'The Sims 2 V1.0 No Censorship Patch' and i know where it is located but i dont know how to disable it
Re-install and select "Custom" if this option is even available, and choose not to install that patch. Is it on a CD-RW, if it is, then maybe you can delete the patch out of the install folder.
Installing a later version might work find that @ gamecopyworld Also maybe installing one of the Sims 2 expansions might work, so long as the v1.0 patch only works on the v1.0 Sims. Or you can try to delete the skins the patch added, which are probably under C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\UserData\Skins Last resort uninstall and borrow/buy game from somewhere else.
