I can't find anything that addresses this issue, so if it has already been addressed, please accept my apologies

I just got The sims 2 Limited edition. The only thing in my computer that could probably be a problem is NERO and the Nero Image Drive has been disabled for years.

I contacted customer support and all they do is read off their website. When I told the guy that I would not remove NERO from my computer (I use it for home movies and the kids are young, so I use it often) I was told to return the game to their warranty dpt. and they "may" refund the purchase prize (I got it from Amazon, so I rather return it to them directly)

After the installation all I get is "conflict w/emulation software detected" I don't have Alcohol or Clone or anything else

I read in several websites that a lot of custumers had complained about this and EA games had issued a patch to get around this. (A legitimate patch, not something to pirate software)

Does anyone here have a link to that patch? I have searched EA's website and there is nothing there.

This is my 2nd day of being unable to launch this game after spending $50.00 bucks on it. My kids would really like to play it and even though a return is a possibility, I'd like to try everything possible.

I have cleaned my registry also, just in case there was junk there.

Please, if you have any answers feel free to post them or p.m. me.

    Thank you so much.

    PEACE
