    I have a V7 PS2 and I use the Slide card along with Swap Magic2.

    I own a Pioneer 104/A04 burner, which I purchased of Ebay for £80. It is running the latest firmware update

    I use 1x or 2x Ritek or Optodisk media, again purchased from Ebay.

    I use Recordnow Max.

    So far I have only had 1 coaster, and I have now established it failed becuase the original CD was heavily scratched.

    My successful back-ups are:

    The Sims
    Themeparkworld
    Gran Turismo 3
    Pacman World 2
    Grand Theft Auto Vice City
    Midnight Club 2
    Need 4 Speed Hot Pursuit
    Conflict Desert Storm 2
    Amplitude

    Games that work with CDLoader 7 Beta

    Soul Calibur 2
    Pro Evolution Soccer 2

    So after all that I just want to prove that the slide card works fine, and you can back-up games as long as you have good media and burn at a low speed.

    vento i have the same problem with starsky and hutch. it loads fine and plays but when it goes to start the next mission it tells my to but in a ps2 game. so i have to rest and use smd to start the game up again and start the next leval. i have a v5 or v6 with a fliptop and smd2.0

    The Simpsons - Hit and Run works fine without a CD Loader.

    I'm pretty sure you need CD Loader to play a backup of Splinter Cell because of the double check..

    simple enough

    I think it does, but I'm not sure if you can make a backup of it

    cool, got the cdloader b3 for v7 ps2 now are they coming out with a cdloader b4 and does anyone have an actual date to when the SM version 3 cd/dvd is coming out?

    devilhunt, Thanks for the info... I also read that certain games that did load with CDloader beta3 do not load with Cdlaoder beta4, Hmmmm.

    I've just ordered the slide-card, and I'm wondering, is there any way to get suikoden 3 to work on a v7 ps2, with smd and cdloader?

    It's a factory-burnt backup from thailand (on dvd).

    I have updated my list of games (on page 3 of this thread) that work with the SM v2 disks and also added the ones that work with the new CDloader beta 3 for the V7 PS2 I will add more this weekend as I try out the newer games that I have burned this last week._X_X_X_X_X_[small]US PS2 v.7 SCPH 39001

    where could i find a CD Loader for ver7 ps2? I download one and try burning ISO file but I just get a red boarder? Can some1 give me a step by step process thank you?
