    Nope, CD Loader V5 seems to work, just not on True Crime.

    Tho, after the Activision screen, this time I got a PINK screen!

    Pretty.

    FYI,

    Not sure if any of you knew this but with the new CDLoader b5 for PS2 v7 also lets you use the other CDloadewr versions. There is a screen that lets you chose which one you want to use. Jayteemaster has done it again!!!

    Sony/Activision has a verification program in place on T.H.U.G. that prevents users from logging into the Neversoft server!

    Dang it all!

    Oh well, at least the offline game works perfect.

    if you are using the swap magic discs and a flip top lid do you need a mod chip?

    T.h.u.g is working online? do you the the sony adapter or other brand?
    I have ordered the linksys one for $8 off ebay. I am rolling the dice now. But I got the game to work now!

    No no, no online play.

    Looks like sony has incorporated an online disc verification system. When you try to log on it checks the disc and gives you a "disc error message"

    Sigh, good for Sony I guess....but somebody will figure out a way around it eventually.

    In the meantime, I'll just enjoy THUG and SSX 3 offline.

    Anyone hear of SM 3 being out yet, I found one for the PAL but still looking for the one for NTSC.

    I have a version 2 NTSC ps2 with swap magic and so far the only dvds that dont work are:silent hill 3,MOH Rising sun,soul calibur 2,wakeboarding unleashed ,Max payne pal,and virtually none of the cdr's i burn ever work but the ones that do are: star wars clone wars,gta vice city,celebrity deathmatch,kill switch,risk,romance of the 3 kingdoms 8,smash cars

    I've already purchased a fliptop/SMD combo that's on its way, but I need to know if anyone has tried playing "Naruto."

    From what I understand imports will work with SMD, but not backups of imports (?). A local shop sells the game and I'm ready to buy it, but will the original work with my v4 PS2 fliptop/SMD combo?

    P.S. In order for the game to work properly do I need a SCART? converter thingy?

    abizzness have you tried using cd loader with swap magic to boot those problem games

    Yes ,i tried cd loader 3 times 3 different burns .All of them boot the red screen of death.I dont know if its the way i burned em or the program i used ,but it used nero for 2 of them and alcahol 120 for the other.None worked.

    hi, i backed up Hitman2 on Platinum DVD+R purpil back using nero and it works gr8 with PS2 version 7

    ive got V7 ps2 with MS2PRO and plays all CD and DVD backups fine. i got true crime streets of LA and original doesnt even work in the ps2 unless i turn off the chip.. when chip is on backups and originals do some of the logos and then the red screen of death !! how can i fix this whats up with my chip > any ideas

    it seems that there is a few games with the double booting problem only in V7 ps2 http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/55264 soul calibur 2 , splintercell and a few more with the double booting error. is their a fix to this problem and y is it that its only with v7 ps2's there should be a fix to this ! shouldnt my ms2pro chip boot it properly

    abizzness yes just download cd loader from the download's section here http://www.tidusx.cjb.net/ but not the beta version as its for the v7 or you could download it form here http://www.swapmagicfix.com/ this site contains all the problem games with swap magic 2 and the fixes to get them to boot and the best program i found to burn cd loader is cdr win i tryed to burn it with nero 5.5 and it failed on me
