first off Nelson419 had to be one of the funniest fanboys i have ever seen, and you want to know what funny, if i could name one person on the ps3 forums who always gave an unbaised post it would be oofRome.

anyways i think wii will own mainly b/c of what i have seen, i am deffinatly buyoing it, along with my xbox 360 for graphics i will finally be complete.

If you think about it when sony PS1 came out it wasnt the most powerfull console out there but it killed everyone ( i think cos of the original GTA and resident evil ) cos they had new games and original ideas. So Nintendo arnt the most powerfull but they seem to be generating alot of interest and they are staying original with there stuff so who knows????????????????????????????????

And im 26 i grew up playing Nintendo sega to lose Nintendo as well as a console maker would be bad. If Nintendo fails ill lose some of my childhood memorys with it. LOL

yup same here, but that is not my reason for wantig to buy a wii, its the brilliant games, the ok graphics and awesome controller.

i also think this will mean the end for nintendo ,no difference from the nintendo power glove or the nintendo virtual boy.

yeah so its geeting tons of hype and everywhere i go all around the web the forums all full of people that say im going to buy a wii beacuase its original ,nintendo is all about innovation ect.

the truth is nintendo copy that from the ps2 eyetoy.

i been playing marios and zeldas for more then 20 years ,its time to move on from those games and create new series please. either way both series have gone from bad to worst and just see ,nintendo wants you to buy a wii to play the new zelda.

nintendo used to be kool back in the 90's but now in my book it totally sucks and this new ideas are going no where.

yuou said move on from the same old games that nintendo keeps feeding us, well what about final fantasy god knows what number that is, and tekkan 6, mgs 4, gta 4, devil may cry 4, gtr 5, and etc and etc. talk about series, lol.
and the way i see it is nintendo had a bad time with gamecube but some of the games that i have seen just look like so much fun, supersmsh bros brual, mario galaxy, metroid prime, and zelda which all look awesome. and for the price i think it wikll sell way more than sony or M$, not at first b/c word has to spread about the controller and how fun it is but after maybe a year, nintendo will exceed sales.

    thats just my opinion though.

What are you talking about? The eyetoy and the Wii remote are nothing alike...

Like Rabbity said, video game franchise is present in all consoles. As it were, Disaster: Day of Crisis and Project HAMMER are both new, and recieved positive feedback at e3.

With the Zelda games, they aren't really the same "game" per say. Yes you are still Link and are still running around with a sword, a horse, and a musical instrument, but I think alot of people would agree that Ocarina of Time was alot different than Majora's Mask.

The point I'm trying to make is that yes, Nintendo makes a lot of the same franchises but they are way different games within those franchises.

they may be of the same principle whcih is motion sensor but that does not mean its the same thing, the eye toy is you in front of a camera hitting things, but number 1, not all games use this idea for ps2, it looked cheap and crapy, and i do not want to be in the screen.

    Agreed ^.

Also, I think it was Microsoft or Logitech that first introduced motion sensing into videogames. Nintendo is the first company to do it well

Have you read the title to this thread? powerglove. How about that ring that you could stand in and play power rangers or whatever. They're as similar to the eyetoy as the eyetoy is to the Wii remote.

You know, I remember going to some Robot World in the Wisconsin Dells like 6 or 7 years ago, and they had the EXACT same thing as the Ps2's Eye Toy so Sony obviously couldn't think of it themselves first just like what they did with Nintendo's controller idea.

The most recent example would be what? The wildly successful DS?

Nintendo does have a good history with their controllers.

I guess we'll just have to waid and see.

    Yeah, I know.
I've acknowledged many times that no will know the outcome until it arrives. That's also why I don't troll around with "r.i.p nintendo/sony/MS". Weird huh?
