Hi, i bought one of these boxes a few weeks ago...i didn't know at the time that i would be getting all this hassle with it... day by day i am losing channels.... i have tried reading up and it seems a little confusing... i have firware API ver : 4.51e_E Boot ver : 7.0 9. Jul. 2007 my normal provider would be NTL, but when the man installed the box he said to use ex C&W settings which did seem to work fine... but like i said day by day i am losing channels and can't get them back on...also channels change by themselves and it turns on and off on it's own... i have tried scanning for channels again but nothing is working... been looking through the site and i am unsure if i need new firmware or new codes... i have just tried to put codes in manualy but that didn't help (not 100% sure i did that right)i also bought a usb lead from ebay incase i need to install firmware but not sure how to do that either... could anyone give me any advice on what i should be doing thanks mandy by the way i am in northeast uk
you have the correct firmware for the b0x in the uk. try this menu > 1570 go to "set default key" press ok look down and see if your EMU is on, which you can turn on using the > button on your remote. exit to s*y sports & let it update. you should get your channels back.
thanks i tried that and it updated but the channels that were off (3 film channels) are still off...any other ideas i could try??...thanks mandy
if the channels are there & blank, then delete them & do an autoscan & they should turn up at the end of your channel list.
