THEBOX SUPER ADVISE

hi ive got my new the box super today what a waste of money i cant get any chanels partner tried everything to get it working for me i have boxed it back up in anger plz can someone advise me how to set it up properly im not technical its asking for password as well

 

try 1668 for the password .. English > Installation Choose provider Automatic Scan press ok Channels found then exit then press menu 1.5.7.0 turn key emu on then exit exit exit

 

thank you for that i get my partner to try that tomorrow im confused also as to in the instructions it says to download software via rs-232 serial cable thats got me cofused as well

hi there tried it that way its still same when its loading channels the majority of thm failed i hav got more channels on a freeview box i did email support were i got it from they have told me to put the software on it i feel its been a total waste of money

 

do you have a null modem cable?

it's a 9 pin cable. they might have included one with it. it's a typr of rs232 but it's slightly different and the only one that works.

 

hi we did get a cable with it but its not the type that goes into the back of the pc

 

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F.

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

Hi, I need to update my replay lite and the serial port on my lap top is a 15 pin, what do I need to buy.

 

does it have 9 pins on each end? if it does and your pc doesn't have a slot for it you'll need a usb serial converter.

 

hey im all up and running got the 9 pin cable extension downloaded the software done what it said in the instructions and alls well thanks to members on here for your info and help
