I am interested in the interplay between one's thoughts and actions. What are people's views when it comes to thought and how computers can be seen as products of people's conceptions? Is technology one of the better ways that man and woman can see their visions come alive? To be able to have an idea a concept and to make it real? Can one really separate the abstract thought to the finish product? Advertising how important is it? Does anyone think if AMD advertised more on televison like Intel did that they may have had better sales? I think that Intel's campaign using the blue man group was ingenius because even though I didnt know what Intel was i knew their name and their sound and the music group prior to buying my first computer 4 years ago. When I bought my first computer that was an oem HP pavilion 734n it was an AMD but only because the salesperson stated that what i was looking for with the price I could get an AMD instead of an Intel and I asked in comparison to Intel and the sales said nominal, so i did and was happy i bought it. But it was only because of that that I bought AMD because I didnt know who AMD was because I never heard of them, but, I surely heard of Intel, they hda their commercials on tv with teh blue man group basically 2 times an hour or so, one could never miss it. I think this was back in 96 maybe 97 or 98. So, even though I am an AMD user i have bought and used and they all are still working (the person i gave the 2400+ to tha twas on teh pavilion traded it for a Pentium Extreme cpu lol) 2400+ thoroughbred (pavilion) 3000+ oem cpu Barton 3200+ athlon64 winchester 3500+ vencie 3500+ venice and ML-28 turion(compaq laptop) all these purchases happened by chance because it was the volunteering of the saleslady at Hpshopping that offered AMd as a possible solution that was fitting the specs I wanted for under 750 dollars. If that never took place I would have bought an Intel system. Now, I think that if AMD advertised more mainstream and advertised for these needs that I was looking for it woudlnt have been only chance that i bought my first computer (well second actualy I had a pentium 500 computer I bought that had a pentium III i think) that had an AMd cpu in it. This is just a topic trying to stir discussion so feel free to share your opinions on this, because I have made the topic pretty broad and yet related to computers and processors.

I must admit all the comps i have brought have had amd, only this laptop Laptop 1 in my sig is an intel, this was not tho choice, just had it in, however now i have built two pcs Comp 1 & 2 in my sig these both have amd in them, so i think advertising is good but intel went hyper on it and half of that advertising would have been more then enuf.
