hi guys, first of all may i say that you are doing a brilliant job here by answering and helping everyone out with their boxes, i know you are doing this voluntarily and appreciate that. My concern is that after going through all the posts whilst researching into the starview box, i have been somewhat put off by it due to the complexity of it all. I have also been made aware that there are plenty of fakes/clones around, so does anyone know where i could get a normal box from, one that wouldn't break down after two months! My main concerns are having to put in these codes all the time, but what are these codes exactly, what do they do and how often should one expect to put new codes in?? The same goes for the frequencies. It also seems that you need some sort of connection to a PC/laptop, this somewhat overwhelms me also! what exactly do i need to get it connected to a pc, and if i need to install firmware etc, is it easy to do and would there be a step by step guide of some sort? Sorry for the long post but i just need someone to reply to tell me that it isnt as complicated as it seems to be and just to give me a brief summary of what the box does and what we need to do to maintain it! I am planning to sign up to N*L by the way and only plan to get a basic tv package if i can get this box up and running. Also before i forget, can this be tracked by N*L? Many Thanks for all your help guys, and keep up the good work!

thank you for your time mate, do you which firmware versions will allow the box to automatically find the keys?
sorry, one more question. i am a student and am living at home right now for the summer break. i have v***n m***a at home as well, would i be able to set it up at home and then take it to my term time residence and then plug it straight in there without having to set everything up again? (same tv provider)
If you buy "The Box" you will need version 4.51 firmware. And yes if it is the same cable provider, you can bring it with you. When you do get the box, just drop back and we will have you up in no time.
