I found a way around Microsoft's WGA Update page. (That JAVA address). But now every time I turn on my PC, on the Welcome screen there is a little bar on the bottom saying "This copy of Windows is not genuine. You may be a victim of software counterfeiting." And a box in the middle of the screen says you may be a victim.... then 2 buttons: [Get Genuine] or [Wait 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 - Resolve Later]. Is there a crack or someway around this annoying problem starting up!

By the way someone put in my motherboard and put on the fake Windows. It wasn't me. Also I am sorry if this thread has been started somewhere else, redirect it if necessary. I'll try and add a screenshot asap. Plz HELP!!!

    lmfao....

Sorry, but the humor is quite entertaining.

First of all, you didn't get by anything or you wouldn't have the new WGA test plugin installed.

Second, if you are a victim of piracy you have two ways to deal with it. Either turn your friend in to Microsoft for a free CD (and have to live with knowing you did that)..or go out and buy the software.
