this is kinda annoying trying to figure out what type of ram this pc has before i trade for it.

The pc came from best buy in the US. And ive been looking to see what type of memory stick goes in this pc but ive been getting diffrent results in ym searched. PC is a HP a1510n ive tryed there site also but it shows as DDR2 and then DDR on the same page. I wanna know so i can put 1 of the sticks of my DDR ram into the pc.

Here the sites ive check and they all state diffrent things....

http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/s..._to_ship&subcat1=rts&catLevel=4#defaultAnchor - Show in the memory spec thats its DDR2 but in the memory slot it says DDR

http://astore.amazon.com/gp/detail.html?tag=jamesdsworld-20&linkCode=sb1&asin=B000GAL1I4 - says the same thing i dont get it O>o which is it DDR or DDR2 o_O

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5056724 same thing is say in the memory 1024mb DDR2 but in the slot spec it says DDR

alot more site say the same thing. if it is DDR and i can put my ram in it i heard that all the other ram would slow down to the lowest ram cards speed? which spec matters about that? mhz? or the pc2700 or pc3200 spec?

if you have the computer. you can use a progarm called cpu-z to find out what type of memory the computer uses. you can ge the progarm from here http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php after you download the progarm and open it click on the tab that says SPD and that will tell you if the memory is pc3200
