Hello, I am new to the forum; and yes, I did actually try to find the answer to this question using the forum search. Someone actually had a similar question, but s/he asked it in November of 2002 and never got a reply (hmmmm...). Anyway, I currently have a movie that I would like to burn onto a DVD+R or DVD+RW. The film is currently in three separate bin and cue files (six files total, one cue for each bin). I would like to burn the film onto a DVD and I have Cucusoft Video Converter that can convert the files into DVD, but they will still be three separate DVD files. I currently have Nero 6 Ultra Edition and am not sure how I can use the software to burn the DVD (I only see options for VCD and SVCD, not DVD). Can someone please help me find a way of making these three VCD files into one DVD file, and then be kind enough to tell me how I can burn them onto a DVD? Thanks so much in advance; I need help!!! ;)

OK..First off you will not have to convert these files to DVD files because the VCD Format and the CIF DVD Format are allmost exactly the same accept for that the audio needs to be 48000hz for it to go on a DVD....
So you would first use something like "ISO Buster" to extract the 3 Mpeg files out of the Bin files...

Once you have the 3 Mpeg1 file you will have to join them all into one movie File, To do this you can use a Simple Mpeg editor called "Mpeg2VCR" and there are directions for Joining files useing Mpeg2VCR on this site...

After you have one Big Mpeg1/VCD file you will have to demux the the File into seperate audio and Video files so you can resample the audio to 48000HZ..
To demux the Mpeg file into seperate audio and Video files you can use Tmpgenc..You just run tmpgenc and go to "File" to "Mpeg Tools" to "Simple De-Multiplex" and load in the Mpeg1 file and Click "Run" and in a few Minutes you will have 2 Files ,One M1V video file and one Mpa or Mp2 audio file...
Now you have to resample the audio to 48000HZ which can also be done with Tmpgenc...

So run Tmpgenc and close the Wizard..Then on the Bottom right select "ES(Audio Only)" and then load in the audio file as the audio source, Now click the "Settings" button and under "Audio" set the "Stream Type" to "Mpeg1 Layer 2" and set the "Sampleing Frequency" to "48000HZ" and the "Bitrate" to "384KBS" and then click "OK" at the Bottom....
Now just click the "Start" button at the Top left and in a few minutes you will have a New Mpa or Mp2 audio file....

Now you have to author the M1V video file and the MPa or MP2 audio file to DVD useing a DVD authoring Program like "Tmpgenc DVD author" (different from the encoder)..
Just Load the audio and Video file into Tmpgenc DVD author and follow the Instructions for authoring the DVD and thats IT.....Cheers

Ok hibby just how do you do this using nerovision 2 I have been at this for about two hours and cannot get verovision to recognize bin or cue files. Here is what I am trying to do, got a movie in two parts ( two bins and two cues figure they were two dics svcd) I want to merge them into one and burn to DVD, could you please give me some help in doing this with nero. I am used to dealing with AVI's and MPEG's this is first bin/cue I have had. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Nero Vision Express totally sucks because it will ALLWAYS Re-Encode your Files even if they are allready in the Correct Format and seeing as it"s encoder is so Crappy it totally ruins the quality of your Video.....

jflovely: the Bin/Cue format is an Image format for burning onto CD/DVD"s so if you want to get the Video out of the Bin file you can simply use something like ISO Buster which will extract all of the Files out of the Bin file....

You can simply burn the Bin/Cue file to a CD-R and it will be a VCD or SVCD..You just run Nero and go to "recorder" to "Burn Image" and navigate to the Cue file and then Burn it and you can Play it as a VCD or SVCD....

Thanks for the reply, I knew that I could make a vcd or svcd with these files unfortunately my dvd player is quite old and will not anything burned to CD-R or CD-RW only DVD and DVD-RW, that is why I wanted to join these files and burn them to dvd. I could simply burn each bin to a dvd and that would be that however I did not want to waste a disc if there is a way to merge these bins to one file so they can be burned to one disc. That is why I asked the question. If my unit would play vcd or svcd I would do exactly what you said. For now I am stuck trying to use nero as Hibby indicated and would like to at least try his method once to see how it turns out. I am not that concerned with the quality as long as it is viewable. Thanks again.

    Hi,
If nerovision doesnt recognise them they are probably corrupt files..Check the cue files name matches the bin files name IE. sosdvd5.bin sosdvd5.cue if they dont match rename cue file to match bin file.
You could also try burning one disc to vcd or svcd to check its not corrupt file.
Alcohol 120 is good at joining and burning bin and cue files, you can also use it to give you virtual drives so you can load the image to virtual drive to check quality before you burn to disc.
    Hope this is of use..

how to convert bin/cue files to mpeg then burn onto dvd

    get yourself vcdgear3.55
    choose conversion cue to mpeg
choose location of source cue file
choose what to name the destination and location of file
    check fix mpeg errors
    click start
    after it is done
then select bin (disc image) to mpeg
    choose source bin file
    choose destination file
a window will open up and it says do you want to get rid of current info or file and you must click yes
    check fix mpeg
    click start
after it is done, you should have two files with mpeg extensions.
run cucusoft mpeg/avi to dvd format
select the first file and click convert to dvd format
and do the same for the next file
then use nero to create a dvd disc under favorites
and burn it to dvd -r or any other dvd format.
    congrats. you are done.

I don"t see what the Problem is...
To put VCD Bin files on a DVD doesn"t take any Re-Encodeing or anything as re-encodeing will Just ruin the Quality of the Files....

Just use ISO Buster or VCDGear or VCDEasy to extract the Mpeg1 files out of the Bin Files...
Once you have the 3 Mpeg1 file extracted from the Bin files you use "Mpeg2VCR" to Join them into a Single Mpeg file...
Then you use Mpeg2VCR or Tmpgenc to "Demultiplex" the File into it"s seperate audio and Video files..

Now you have to re-sample the audio to 48000HZ to do this you can use Tmpgenc or any audio encoder that supports the Mpeg1 Layer 2 audio format...

After resampleing the Audio you just load the Resampled audio file and the Video file into a DVD authoring program Like "Tmpgenc DVD author" and add your Menu"s and Chapters and Burn the DVD...

Thats it...You should be able to do the Whole Process of going from Bin to DVD in under an Hour with No re-encodeing so the Quality will not be affected at all..

    Cheers
