ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231122 psu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004 always get a good name brand psu like corsair. cheap psu will go bad and can take your whole computer with it. you can save a few dollars by getting gskill ram which i prefer over adata. every thing else looks good. that case wouldn't be my first choice but if thats what you want it will be fine. if you plan on overclocking to above 4ghz a new heatsink will be a good idea. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835154001 there is a simple fan speed fix that you can use. or you can get a model with an aftermarket cooler. http://techreport.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=60232 i would use xp because vista is not worth it right now. dx10 does not provide much visual gain and has a big performance hit. you can get an oem of xp home for $85 and xp pro for $140. xp home should do fine unless you need the extra networking stuff like domains. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116056
ok i took your advice and i think il use that fan fix but any1 have any recomendations for a cheaper just as good case it doesnt have to be flashy
yes the corsair 450 will be enough. i would get this case. it is about the same price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137
thanks for all your help im gunna be ordering the parts later this week but i think im gunna keep my case because the one you suggested was good but more expencive and im gettin pretty picky with price now cuz i went over my budget lol but if you have another one in mind that can beat 60$ post mail in rebate then throw it at me... il prob order this tuesday thanks for the help also what thermal compound would you recomend?
yup that will due just fine thanks man your a great help il tell you how my build goes after its done
Krj's recommendations are wise, Raidmax PSUs are awful, and that Coolermaster case is much better as well.
on the vista vs XP i suggest vista, as i have been running it since july last year (64bit) no problems. for the case, save some money and get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042&Tpk=antec 300 its a superb case made even better with its price. the rest looks fine. also add these 2 to the front of your case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185052
thats a nice case i changed it to that and got 3 fans 2 for front one for side thanks for all your help i think im going to be ordering tommaro
Well they won't fit in the nine hundred, not at the front anyway. Not sure about the three hundred, but by the looks of it, the 300 uses the same setup.
it doesnt matter im getting these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811998124 they are 28mm thick
Yeah they'll be fine, Antec's own fans are 25mm thick as well. Just beware those fans will probably be quite noisy, and they won't light up without a UV light source in the case (unless you don't care about them being illuminated of course )
