Timeshift not working on Eurovox 5000 PVR

    I can pause a channel fine but when I try to resume/play from where I left off [by pressing play/pause on remote], it just returns to realtime instead of playing from the paused position. Anyone else experience this?

    I have the latest firmware installed.

    Just to rule out the obvious and dont take this the wrong way have you got a HDD installed, when you press record does it start recording and when you go into PVR does it show a menu of what you have recorded or does it give an error message.

    Just to verify in sytem info what does it say?

    Please answer all the questions to save me asking them again :)

    Cheers for the speedy reply. I didnt install the HDD as such, I just inserted it into the slot. I can record and it does show what I have recorded when I go into PVR.

    System info is as follows:

    Model: DVB-XC EX5000 TDA
    S/W Ver: 1.0 ST4 Jul 15 2008
    H/W Ver: 2.0t K5 +D
    Bootstrap: v001
    S/W Build: Kuro

    Everything is ok so far.

    When you press pause the screen should obviously freeze, does it then show on the front of your box t5?

    I had the same problem, i resolved my issue with wiping the hard drive in an eternal usb hard drive case and used KillDiskSuiteFree (free software just google for it) You will loose all data on the disk, I then powered off the eurovox and inserted the hard drive and all was ok, I also reloaded firmware/software to the box. remember that it will say hard disk not installed or full until you record something. That is if you have a case for the drive

    Hiteck,

    I just noticed that when you take out the HDD and reinsert it, timeshift works! However, putting the box in standby reverts to the old problem. I do see t5 when I press pause. What I also see when I press pause is 49:50/0:00 mins in the top right hand corner when the problem occurs. This is 0:00/0:00 when it is working. Its like it thinks the HDD is full!

    stofbj,

    Was your box taking approx. 2mins to start up before you wiped the HDD? Is it still working? Where can I get an eternal usb hard drive case? Is it expensive?
