so im planning on getting the G1 aka Google Phone but i have one concern.

I plan on using the AIM application a lot, but is it anything like the iphone/ ipod touch app? where it doesnt count towards your Texts its all just data over wifi?

I've been using T-Mobile for something like 7 years now. I've not got a G1, but the other phones I've had usually had the Yahoo/MSN/AIM applications on them and those applications were using GSM and not SMS.

You should really call T-Mobile and confirm, but I'm fairly sure using GSM instead of SMS means it counts towards data instead of text.
