TMPEGEnc DVD Author Pro - specifics Dela?

If anyone else has tested this software, I'd be interested in your opinions, too.

I've read Dela's review, but it generated more questions than it answered.

I already have 1.6 w/AC3, and I've used it several times with success & satisfaction. But before I invest in a new version, I want to know exactly what changes/improvements have been made and if there's any backward-compatibility.

Will my AC3 plugin work with Pro, or am I expected to buy another copy/version of it, too?

I see that slideshows can now be created, but how exactly are they advanced during playback? Automatically, or can they be set up to wait for the > or < button?

I also read a brief mention of "creating buttons" - does that mean I can use my own .bmp/.jpg images as buttons, or do I have to have some other software to generate button files? Do they have to be rectangular - or more exactly: does the highlighted area have to be rectangular, or even the same shape for every button?

I've tried using captured video as menu backgrounds with 1.6, but I can't. Will Pro allow that, or am I asking for too much?

How about interactive menus that behave like the game functions on some special feature discs (Finding Nemo, for example)?

Any info will be appreciated.
