I used to love using TMPGEnc to reencode random videos into divx at low bitrates to email to friends, but I formatted my comp and reinstalled everything this week and now TMPGEnc doesnt have divx in the codec list anymore I go to file\output to file\AVI\setting all there is is: logitech video, cinepak, no compression, intel IYUV codec, microsoft video 1, and intel indeo video I would really like to get my divx output ability back, but after searching for hours on google and trying several different versions of TMPGEnc, and reinstalling divx codecs i have no solution I have the Gordian Knot codec pack along with Gordian Knot rippack .35 installed on windows Xp Pro SP2 on AMD Athlon XP 3200 512mb ram and right now im using TMPGEnc Plus 2.524 i have even tried uninstalling the GK rippack and codec pack and installing the individual divx codecs but nothing works!!! any help is awesome! thank you all
I wouldn't recommend TMGEnc for encoding avi's, however if it doesn't show up in TMPGEnc's VfW list, then I doubt that it will show up on anything else. Could be a corrupt vidc entry, however I wouldn't have thought so on a fresh install. DivX I think used to have a util called bigfix for install troubles.
uhh, I still love to use TMPG for divx outputting when I dont care too much about quality I also used to be able to output to wmv9 as well, but not any more whats weird is that i can open divx videos no problem and play them in file/preview any ideas, anyone? thanks for the reply celtic_d
