I would like to convert a movie and afterwards burn it as a SVCD. So far... The problem is: TMPGEnc didn't like the audio stream and as it is VBR I extracted it with NanDub. Now I try to convert the file to MPG using the *.wav file as audio source and either TMPGEnc just shuts down or gives me an error message. ("Write error occured at adress [numbers and letters here] of module 'ntdll.dll' with 00000000.")

Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong or how to convert the movie in a different way? Do you need any further information?)

I think I have answered this same Question 4 times today...lol
I bet your AVI file is compressed useing the XviD codec, Right?? Tmpgenc doesn"t get allong with the XviD codec and has problems with files that use that codec...The only easy way I have Found arround it is to Install the "FFDshow Decoder" and configure it to decode XviD files and if that don"t work then you will have to use something like "Virtual-Dub" to Frame serve the file to Tmpgenc....

Well First install "FFDshow" then go to "Start" to "Programs" to "FFDshow Decoder" to "Configuration" and a window will Pop up ,in that window the very First option at the top says "Codecs" and there will be a List of Formats, When you click on eash codec/Format it will give you a choice of what you will use to Decode the File...Under all of the Mpeg-4 codecs which should be the Top 8 codecs choose "LibavCodec" for the Top 8 codecs and leave the rest as "Disabled" if you allready have codecs for the other Formats installed but if you don"t have them installed then set them to "LibavCodec" also accept for maybe the Mpeg1 and Mpeg2 formats...After doing all of this Just click "Apply" then "OK" and Now you Should be able to Decode and watch allmost all files that that you have useing Just FFDShow....good Luck...Cheers
