Just upgraded my system from Win ME to Win XP with NTFS file system. Previously Tmpg worked fine with segemented files no bigger than 2gb. Now I have a single 10gb AVI file captured with IuVCR using Huffy compression. Media Player plays it fine. When I open it in TmpgEnc Plus 2.5 I get a 'can not open file or unsupported' I went into VirtualDub and pulled out a 1gb piece. Tmpg was able to open that. Any ideas why it can't process the 10gb file?
Problem solved. I had to go into the environmental settings and bump up the Direct Show entry's priority to make it the top priority
