I downloaded TMPEncv2.51.33.127 and also the VFAPI pluging from the homepage, but when I use the TMPGEnc and try to open my project file it doesn't recognise it. I get an error message, cannot open or unsupported. I'm sure I've installed the plugin, can anyone help please?
I am having the exact same problem, i followed everything step by step but TMPGEnc doesn't recognize my dvd2avi file. If you find a fix please let me know. I switched it up with some research and I am using Flask to encode.
Ok, have you downloaded the _correct version_ of VFAPI plugin from TMPGEnc's homepage (latest plugin for latest TMPGEnc, their version numbers _have to_ match)?
And use only the v1.76 of DVD2AVI if you experience problems. I've never ever had any problems opening d2v files, if I've used original DVD2AVI, TMPGEnc and correct version of VFAPI plugin installed. And Flask sucks
I HAVE the same problem! After saving my project in the DVD2AVI, the TMPG does not support or recognize the .d2v FILE! Can any body help? Does all of the files have to be in the same directory in order to work?
Go to TMPGEnc's Global Settings and go to VFAPI Plugins tab and see if the DVD2AVI Project File Reader is in the list. If it is, increase its priority (click rmb over it). If it is NOT in the list, you need to make sure that you have dvd2avi.vfp file in your DVD2AVI directory (not in TMPGEnc's dir) and start DVD2AVI again (it registers the VFAPI plugin for d2v files) and restart TMPGEnc.
I use DVDx 1.8a to encode DVD2AVI (you can read the .ifo file straight off the DVD) you can also encode it to MPEG1 or MPEG2. (note: It's still not VCD copmlient) (but it will play in WMP7 and most other MEDIA) From there you can import the now MPEG or AVI file into TMPGEnc it will re-encode it and make the adjustments you need to make VCD or SVCD complient (looses a tad bit of quality but still pretty good outcome) The best way I've found to get the best quality it to use DVDx to copy a DVD2MPEG2, It takes quite a long time though, after that's fineshed you can change the MPEG2 to a (VCD complient) MPEG1 with TMPGEnc Afer that all you need to do is burn it I use EZ CD Creator 5.1 (Also works Nero) those are the only 2 I'v ever used. DVDx is freeware if you need further help there are plenty of guides on DVDx homepage
