    Hi all,

I've been using TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 for ages encoding AVI file to MPEG.

Today I tried to set up an encoding and found to my surprise that the TMPGEnc did not automatically pick up the AVI file as the Audio source. So I tried to manually select it and it gave an error message saying "XXXXX (avi filename) can not open, or unsupported".

At first I thought I had a corrupted AVI file on my hands, so I tried an AVI file I know worked previously and got the same error??

I assume something in m settings has been changed but just can figure out what??

Is anyone out there able to help me out?

    Thanks guys.

Check the environment settings/vfapi tab. Set it back to defaults.
If no good, have you considered using system restore to a time
    before the problem occurred?

    Thanks davexnet.

I should have thought of that myself! I have reset the settings to default and she's up and running again. I remember when I first installed the program that I was getting some errors. After some googling I had to adjust the priority of some of the plugins - that was some time ago and I can't even remember what error I was getting or which plugin I altered??

Not sure why this problem has only appeared now though! Anyway thanks for your advice - I appreciate it.

    Cheers.
