I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, but the output keeps ending up as a realone file. Any ideas????? Thanks in advance.

do you mean the icon looks like a realone video...or the actual .ext on the file becomes .rmvb? could be a simple problem of needing to "associate" the files to something else....mine come up as "showtime" and sometimes as "winamp" and othertimes the are "windvd"

the symbol is realone. When I try to burn using nero or tmpgenc dvd author, the video is always black screen for the whole time. I have no clue what could be wrong.

Are you using the wizard or manually selecting what your output will be?

I tried both. I chose mpeg-2 but the screen is black on playback.

I'm having a simular problem encoding 16:9 videos with Tmpgenc..all I get is black screen even in the preview area..I believe it's the templete is broke...works fine with 4:3 video ..i googled the problem and it said the VFAPI. the problem is in the encoder...not the authoring software...the encode video should have a .m2v .mpg or .m2v ext when finished.

I just tried using the premier pro video plug-in from video tools, directly to tmpgenc... It worked for some reason. Maybe I checked something in tmpeg that doesn't get checked by going the other route. I don't understand it , but it works for me that way.
