. i was converting original DV clips from my canon camera which are .mts AVCHD files, and when you setup the project properties in an editing program it wants to know if it should use upper fields, lower fields, or none. if my original video is 60i 1920x1080 video and i want to finalize on a DVD to be played on an HD TV, which interlacing option should I use? What if my target was playback on a computer? thx
DV is usually lower field first, so you should do a test to check it. (Any scene with some movement will do). Are you talking about producing a standard (720*480 res) DVD ? IN that case preserve the interlacing. For the PC, non-interlaced usually works best, since the screen and video system is non-interlaced.
