i recently flashed my phillips & benq drive using ixtreme 1.5 and iprep. now when i put in a backup or an original game in the tray it says play dvd on the dashboard. when i hit play i get an error to put the disc in a console. did i screw up somewhere? ps i've tried multiple disc and all originals work fine in my other consoles.
When you press the eject button does it come out just fine or you have to press on it twice? if so the drive is still on vendors mode...also try re-flashing again as it could be a bad flash
i only have to hit it once. if it is in vendor mode how do i move it to the correct mode? if i must re-flash do i use my backup? should i dump the firmware again or go straight to flash?
Normally when you get that error message, the key is more than likely not in the firmware. Without the key, only DVDs can be played.
to find the key, if you actually dumped properly just browse to a folder named "backups" where the Iprep was install (where you flashed from the first time)you are looking for a file named OFW, this is you original firmware, you can check the file with Maximus toolbox, it will give the actual key which should look like this "2EE448BDBCB8CCC1C856D395EE988676".
The key will be in the original firmware bin. You'll need a program like Jungle Flasher to open up the bin and check. Check your bootable jump drive. The original should be in there.
What is everybody else going to do with his key? lol... Original Poster - You need to spoof that key to ix1.51. Then flash that to your drive. Personally I would use Jungle Flasher to flash your drive.
Yeah I am sorry to say but sharing the KEY has no value for anybody, unless they can get a hold of your 360, so do not worry about it. If you have questions on how to spoof refer to Leerage signature, he has place in there the tutorial link for Jungleflasher for everybody convenience...

Actually, Im pretty sure that M$ can use it to ban your hardware from LIVE. Besides, in pictures in tuts and stuff, people block out their key with paint...
The key is randomly generated when the XBOX 360 is created. MS uses your serial number of your 360 to ban you if you have violated Live's Terms of Service. As of right now, MS only checks the challenge and response of the security info of the game.
yeah thanks. i got it working with some expert advice from this forum. that jungle flasher is 10 times better than iprep. leerage if you need any financial advice im your guy, lol.
