well like I said earlier, If it didnt work out for ya, too bad.

Nah really though, im just basically helping out Olsfan as far as hosting issues.

and everything works fine for me.

Games that wouldn't play correctly like manhunt, max payne 2, true crimes, cy-girls, onimusha blade warriors and such, ever since olfans sm3 dvd and my metal gear 2 as a toc, I have no problems.

as you can see on my sig, I have a v4 board, and also I and another posted stated earlier Olsfan himself has a v7 board and it worked on his. basically it should for he is the author of this app.

anyway to those who this worked for, im glad this helped, to those who it didnt work for, so sorry.

Dont get mad at me for trying to help out. "points to Jdilla"

I have a v10, the one that came with the network adapter. I only use the flip top case, I use primarily FUJI and MEMOREX DVD-R on a Lite On LDW-851S, using DVD Decrypter to extract the image and Alcohol to burn the image. If it's a CD game, i just use Alcohol to extract and burn. I always burn at 2X, and cd games at 8X. For every game that can't load on its own, I use the DVD loader from PSOWNZ to load, usually the 5v No Pn, or just load straight from the dvd loader. (I have to use the DVD loader because the v10 can't read the Swap Magic CD 3, that and plus i have a hdd installed and the new Swap Magic CD 3.2 takes too long to load, so I am stuck with the DVD loader) so far, every game works except for Onimusha Blade Warriors and SWAT. I have an old v3 ps2 as well, SWAT works for that one, but Onimusha BW just won't work.)i guess my point is, that DVD loader ALL versions or the CD loader all versions is the best we have right now

Anyone test this with Xenosag yet? Im pissed off because I bought Xeno last week to use as a bott, and it doesnt really work(from what I can gather only the first layer loads on the refresh) and I bought MGS2 Substance yesterday off Amazon and my Ps2 wont even read the disc! All I have left is SM:HCTP.

I have burned many ps2 games successfully and many games unsuccessfully. I have used RecordNow Max 4.5, DVD Decriptor, Games X Copy, Game Jack and and Alcohol 120%. I have found RecordNow Max the most effescient and it seems to make the best back ups for my ps2 games. I have a version 7 ps2 and just used the new swap disc 3.0 and it definately helped a few of my games run smoother. I also had the problem where I could only press x. The ps2 screen would go to "please insert ps2 formatted disc" if i pressed square. I was wondering if anyone at all had any knowledge of how EA Sports games are encripted because they all seem to run choppy if at all. I have successfully gotten Tiger Woods 2004 to run fairly well but have had no luck at all with NHL 2004. The game loads up just fine and goes through all of the bullshit but when I try to actually play a game...it goes into the loading screen and freezes. I don't know if it is the EA Sports encription or what but if anyone can give me any tips on how to burn EA Sports Games it would be greatly appreciated.

I searched and I could only find information about NHL and the dummy.pad file but I have no idea about how to patch the file or even for sure what program to use for that. I understand that I would have to create an image on my hard drive, but how exactly would I get access to the dummy.pad file after the image is created. I am a newbie with this dummy.pad file so if you could give me a walk through about how to patch this it would once again be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

swapmagicfix.com. It had the dummy.pad and instruction on how to make the backup. I'm sure this was probably answered earlier if you were to search 4 it but this should help.

    This topic still lives. lol!!!

    *ahem*

hmm i see that some users with v7 boards are having troubles for I dont understand since Olsfan claims that his is a v7 model and he authored this app.

but i know for sure that v8-10 models are out of the question.

It would still be very active if there was an answer to my question about xenosaga as a TOC disc. Sinasta, you told me you was gonna test it and you never came with a result. Whazzup?

I have tried Xenosaga as well as MGS2 Substance, with neither one working. Other people have also reported problems using Champions of Norrath. I think it can be surmized that DVD-9's do not work. I currently us Smackdown:HCTP and it works fairly well, Final Fantasy X would also be a good choice, as well as either GTA game.

No, you dont need the cdloader.

Just use a real ps2 dvd disc for a toc disc and you will be fine.
