OK, so I've got Nero 6.6.0.15 and NVE3 3.1.0.14 installed, and for the most part they've been treating me well for quite awhile (Nero in particular). I'm thinking that perhaps I'd like to upgrade to NeroVision 4, which I assume I can't do separately from upgrading to Nero 7. The reason is that NV4 can do things like motion menus, I believe, and I'd like to tinker with that when I make dvds from already-prepared mpg sources. These are my questions:

    1) Should I even bother (the if it ain't broke don't fix it rule) and is NV4 all that good?
    2) If I do which version(s) should I be using? I've read some of the Nero 7 versions are buggy. In particular I want a version where NV4 isn't buggy.

I assume I'd use the cleanup tool for Nero 6 and then get started, plus I could go back to it if I'm pulling my hair out. Thanks to anyone with specific advice.

Thanks. And that's the whole enchilada, including NeroVision, right?

If you purchase Nero then yes you get the whole lot, if you only download the Demo then your choices are limited.

OK, thanks. BTW, wouldn't I need the Nero 6 clean tool first, not Nero 7?

Oops, nevermind. Just read the instrux at their site.

OK, one more question. Will I be able to update just the Nero Vision component once I've installed 7.0.8.2? I ask because only the latest update for Nero Vision includes the animated menus feature, so I'm sure the one bundled with 7.0.8.2 doesn't. Thanks.

You can select custom install, I would not recommend installing InCD package.

Basically NVE is the only feature that I use as well.

OK, actually upgrading just the one component doesn't work. I installed 7.0.8.2 without a problem, then tried to update with the update download (7.2.0.3b) assuming I could choose to only update Nero Vision. When I chose custom install I had to choose "This feature will not be available" for all the stuff other than Nero Vision (thinking that this will leave the other stuff alone and only update NV). Nope, it uninstalls everything else.

So, how do I update just Nero Vision while keeping Nero at 7.0.8.2? Thanks.

As far as I know, you cannot. You will have to choose between 7.0.8.2 or 7.2.0.3....my recommendation is the more stable version of 7.0.8.2.

Thanks, but then I don't get the animated menus. Might as well stick with my working version of 6 and NVE3, no? I can't see any reason to upgrade unless it's for added functionality to NV. (BTW, thanks for being online 24/7 ;-)

Forgive me if this sound a little convoluted, but I want to be sure I do this right. I think these are the right steps: 1) upgrade to the latest version of 7 so that I get my key; 2) use the Clean Tool to remove that version; and, 3) install version 7.0.8.2. Or do I use the Clean Tool to get rid of Version 6? Thanks for your help.
