    @kpizzle

    i thought you said baldurs gate was cd game?you use cd version of swap magic for cd games.but if it is a dvd game then youre using the right disc.

    have you gotten any other backups to work,cd or dvd?

    and 3.3 is almost the same as 3.6.there is somekind of hd loader with 3.6 and 3.6 plays the few backups that wont play on 3.3 without a cdloader(champion rta and splinter cell pandora are the only ones i know that wont play on 3.3)

    sorry yeh its a DVD, and im using 3.3 swap magic dvd version, and when i swap them, and put balders gate in, it either goes to the screen where you can select memory card or if theres a game u click the game n it loads (its like i havent used swap magic at all and just put in baldurs gate, but i have) and sometimes it says please insert a ps2/ps format disk. If i choose to load it using the boost one (pressing square when on the swap magic thing) the screen goes black, but doesnt load anything.
    and yes i have got other back ups working, im not inexperienced at using swap magic (although it seems that way because i keep saying the wrong things ^^)

    how big is the game size?

    try using cdloader from http://www.swapmagicfix.com/

    the site tells you how to burn to the program to cd and how to use the cdloader program.use the one that corresponds to your ps2 version.if that doesnt work then you would have to copy the game in another way(maybe rebuild?)

    ok you used the cdloader.well that means 3.3 wasnt able to play it by itself.ill bet that 3.6 could play the backup without cdloader.ive only used cdloader with 2 games on swap magic 3.3,so i guess that would be a third game that needs cdloader on swap magic 3.3.

    I recently got swap magic 3.6, and it runs games I've read others could not (or at least with out help) with 3.3 or lower. I started out with 2.0 and only got about 1/2 of the games to work. 3.6 solved my probs (so far - knowck on wood).

    Quick question. All my ea sports backups work with my dms3 mod. But with my friends ps2 with swap disk every time he goes to register his ea account get goes to the insert valid ps2 disk. Is this because I need to rebuild the game for the swap disk to work? thanks

    hey, I've been trying to play import games, but I've had some difficulty. Here are a few questions I'd like answered before I screw up a blank DVD disk yet again *the game I had in mind was Berserk (Jap)*:

    Is there a certain type of disk I need to burn DVD games onto other than just DVD, in that I mean 'are there any special types of DVD disks needed'?

    What program do you recommend I burn a DVD game with?

    Would a Linux DVD burner growisofs cause any problems? My friend burned me a copy onto a DVD disk, but when I try to use it I get the "Not A PS2 Disk" or a notice of that effect in the Swap Magic prompt.

    If I have a U.S. PS2, do I need the USA region Swap Magic disks to work on my PS2, or is that if I want to play USA backup disks?

    BUMP.

    Is anyone keeping a more complete PS2 disk size list anywhere? This looks like the best one to me. Can ONE of these lists be made STICKY somehow?
