Ok ran this one through Decrypter (iso & file mode),shrink,clone dvd2,dvd fab, and all the previous while dvd43 was (got a green smily) & wasn't running in the background. Got a crc error, searched, came up with vob blanker (Mighty confusing)I did find one guide for blanker but it's all Greek to me. I'm not even sure what protection is on this disc. Is a crc error an indication of arccos? Am I attacking this the right way? Is there a program that will identify what protection is present? (Like A-Ray is to games) So many questions. Every proggy got stuck at 47 or 48%. VOB_6. The movie. I am at a loss. I've been working on this for 5 hrs now just to rip. Looks like vobblanker just made it past the 48% mark. Any ideas are welcome as I still don't know what I'm doing on this one. Thanx
Ok, seems the default settings on vobblanker are enough to get past what ever the protection was. I didn't see the "running man" and shrink is doing it's thing. I replaced 90% of the x-tras with still images and dropped the menues down to still pictures. Got a 95% compression through that. I would still like to know what I was trying to decrypt and the best way to do it. And it seems even a blind squirrel will find a few nuts. Once again Thanx.
