I have a retail copy of Tomb Raider Legend that I would like to make a backup copy of in case the original is damaged or loat ( I have to insert the DVD into the drive for the game to work).

Is there a method / sofware that will do this for me or do I just have to be careful with the one I bought?

(I have Nero 6, DVD Santa, AnyDVD & DVD Clone amongst others)

I have had the same problem with BF2, and the ONLY way to play the game without the cd is as follows:

1)download Alcohol 120% (it is a trial version)

2)There is an image creater wizard, which guides you through a prosses, which makes an image of the cd. (cd has to be in the drive)

    3) the image of the cd, can trick the game into thinking there is a cd in the drive. But you have to mount the image onto a virtual drive.a virtual drive as the name suggest, is a "fake" dvd/cd drive. You can either download daemon tools, and mount the image on the virtual drive there, or you can just mount the image onto alcohal 120% 's virtual drive. THere is more help on that in the help topics section of the program.

4)Or, you could just use alcohal 120 to copy the game onto another cd r /dvd r.
