Hey, does anyone see anything that I can/should remove? I don't know why the pic isn't loading but you can right click view image and it'll load in another window. Thanks
Fixed it For you.. How is your computer on startup like, does it take a lot of time for everything to load? Well i'd look at these steps which should help speed up your computer http://www.malwareremoval.com/tutorials/runningslowly.php Also, Click Start, Run, type "msconfig" then you can edit what is starting up on startup. You can alos click on services and untick things that you don't use. Make sure you tick hide all microsoft services so you wont untick certain things that microsoft needs running.
I give you a link and you transform…… to a little geek? NEVER have a noob use “msconfig” to disable running progs. Suggest StartupLite by Rubberducky That’s because when they bork their machine and can’t boot, they will want you to pull them out of the mess you got them into.. can you do that? Do not use "msconfig" to disable services, type "services.msc" in the Run box instead! (Why?) The reason is because with msconfig and Hardware Profiles, you can disable services that may be vital to boot your system. With the management console (services.msc) you cannot. Also, msconfig, while unchecking the box, is disabling the service. The "Disable All" button also scares me. It should not even be there as no reason exists to justify disabling "everything." Not "allowing" people to use msconfig reduces the flames and technical support questions from people that fail to read the descriptions for each service and the warnings attached to them. Just a little wisdom gained from peeing on a lot of fences…. LMAO 2oG but not Too old to Geek
Well i always use MSCONFIG as i generally know where i install certain things and where the window processers can be found. But fine listen to 2oldGeek as he has more experience than me...
You may be well aware of what you have on your machine but, most nOObs have no idea what's on their machine and neither do you. My first rule in making suggestions or offering help is: "Do no harm!" When offering help to a victim of malware infestation, until their level of expertise is known, one must never ask them to use MSCONFIG, REGEDIT or any other command that can Bork their computer in a heartbeat, if not properly executed. instead, most Geeks can write a .REG program for them to Run without having them poke around in the registry and really screw things up... The only time that a computer was screwed up by my instructions was when some "Bright Spark" thought they knew more that I and didn't follow them as they were written. Think about it! Have a nice day... Oh, by the way, it's fun posting on 2 threads for you, maybe you'll learn twice as fast.. lol 2oG
